The associations maid goal was to make an association that was better for the students and the instructors. The first chairman was a gentleman called Bob who was essentially the fundamental driving force in the growth of TAGB. The main reasons why TAGB was founded was to be able to enter into a range of different style competitions which they weren't allows to do when part of the UKTA. They then went around and competed against all kinds of styles and that's what contributed to the TAGB becoming what it is now.
