TAGB Tae Kwon-Do History
TAGB or Taekwondo Association of Great Britain was formed in 1983 by several senior members of the of the UK Taekwondo association, who got tired of how to the association was being run, and wanted to make it a more professional association. The associations maid goal was to make an association that was better for the students and the instructors.
The first chairman was a gentleman called Bob who was essentially the fundamental driving force in the growth of TAGB. The main reasons why TAGB was founded was to be able to enter into a range of different style competitions which they weren't allows to do when part of the UKTA. They then went around and competed against all kinds of styles and that's what contributed to the TAGB becoming what it is now. The nucleus of the former ITF world championship winner in Argentina and the European championships in Italy moved with them to form the TAGB.
To this day TAGB remains a cornerstone martial art and influences the martial world with their countless competition wins, often taking home massive trophies.
