About Kenpo
Kenpo is a martial art that combines elements of traditional Chinese martial arts, Japanese Karate, and Hawaiian influence to create a system of self-defence that is both fast-paced and highly effective. Known for its wide array of techniques, including strikes, joint locks, kicks, throws, and grappling, Kenpo stands out due to its emphasis on fluid, dynamic movements and the concept of rapid-fire techniques.
Unlike many traditional martial arts that focus heavily on a particular style of striking or a set of rigid forms, Kenpo is a versatile and adaptive system that encourages practitioners to quickly transition between offensive and defensive techniques. The art places a strong emphasis on using an opponent’s force against them, as well as leveraging body mechanics for maximum power.
